What's in a name?

In 1997 when I became Managing Editor of the Cape Times, I hired a teacher, Ann Munnik, to teach the rudiments of Xhosa to me and other linguistically-challenged Cape Times staff. She gave each of her students isiXhosa names; mine, selected after many days of consideration on her part, is "Nqabile" meaning "elusive" or "rare".

I promised Ann that when I launched a company, I would use that name.

The term "Recorporations" is an homage to Alan Moore's groundbreaking run on Swamp Thing in the 1980s.
"...the employees of Blackriver Recorporations were the resurrected souls of deceased serial killers returned from Hell."
